Could somebody here tell me how to judge the open time for GDI system injector? There should be a point on current waveform show the injector is starting to open. But I can’t see it on my waveform. I guess the action of GDI is very very fast, so we can't see the point.
And regarding to a waveform built-in PicoScope Automotive software(actuators –injector –VAG PD), the waveform notes in the help file said “At the point of injection the current rises from zero to around 15 amps where there is a brief interruption before continuing to rise to just over 17.5 amps”. I can’t see the 15 amps point on the waveform.
The first waveform you have taken looks weird - seen from my perspective. What car or GDI system are you working on - do you have a specific problem you are involved with.
I may have found a document that might interest you - it's from STMicroelectronics and describes the use evaluation board L9707 in conjunction with gasoline direct injection.
I wouldn't say anymore - just read the document and you will be little wiser.
The first waveform is from a Audi. I am not sure the car have a specific problem. My customer sent the waveform to me, and I still contact with him about this.
