The normal m14 hose is fine for the zetec(yamaha or Mazda type), I've never had a problem yet.

The reason i asked about the focus is went to do a compression test on one and the standard adaptor in my sealy kit wouldnt fit, the threads were not long enough.

Rob have you used the ford triton hose, what dose it fit.

not yet mate, how do you mean not long enough ?

I've just measured the thread lengths from where they seal to the end :-

TA088 - 10mm - M14 X 1.25
TA103 - 12mm - M10 X 1.0
TA105 - 27mm - 0.6155" X close to 1.50 ( seems imperial )

Thanks Rob i just measured a few plugs most standard 14mm plugs have thread length of about 17mm.
The focus plug (NGK tr5a10) has a thread length 25mm, the TA088 wont reach the first thread inside head.
Is the TA105 14MMx1.25 thread.

Damian

I've updated previous post with thread sizes, but the TA 105 seems to be imperial, i don't have an imperial thread pitch gauge so i've gauged it very close to a metric pitch......

Thanks Rob i just measured a few plugs most standard 14mm plugs have thread length of about 17mm.
The O'ring once rolled off will allow a collar to be removed allowing a longer thread. With collar removed you have 19mm less O'ring.
