cam crank sync wave form

Post by veejful »

Hello folks,

I have got a 2003 Seat Alhambra 1.9 PD tdi (engine code ASZ). with rough idle. head has been rebuilt by some other garage before(worn cam lobs, common on these engines as you know) I need the cam/crank sync to check the timing first before the dissemble. Can someone help me out with the known good cam/crank wave form please(and the PD injector wave form if its possible). Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi,

I believe PicoScope Automotive has a VAG PD Injector preset?

Automotive>Actuators>Injector (diesel)>VAG PD

As for CAM/CRANK there is a pre-set under "Advanced Tests>Cam and Crank Sensors"....not sure if the waveform example you see will be what you get as a result, but the settings should be suffice?

Thanx Mick,

I got the PD injector wave form. But I still need the good cam/crank wave form for this vehical. So I can match it up to see if the timing is correct. Has anybody got a known good cam/crank wave form for this vehical? Thank you!
