COP probe really necessary ?

Post by urgentcareman »

Hello,
I have seen Frank Massey using a probe other than the Pico Probe. It looked like just a small plain probe. Is the Pico COP probe really necessary ?
Thanks!
Brit

I've just ordered a snap on 'flag' which will stand me at about £30 after a trip to maplins for some bnc adapters. Will post some captures from my own car in the coming weeks.

You will probably find that a roll of Tinfoil (BacoFoil Stateside) will suit the purpose just as well.

Take a look here....

Hi Brit
As the manufacturer (Pico ) we offer a solution to help the user test single ignition coil packs by using the coil on plug probe kit. This is one of many solution as you can see from the forum and it works well for us with our software. :)

Do you have a part number on the flag? Thanks! Brit

Hi Phil,
I'm not sure what you meant.

Hi Brit

I have got to say that I can't tell if you are being sarcastic in your posts.

When you wrote...

"We call this Red Neck engineering in Tennessee ! : ) Thanks!""

I didn't know if this was a put down or otherwise.

It's funny how easily "Net speak" can be so easily misunderstood.

Have a good weekend.

regards

Dave
