PicoScope 6.6.18 released today!

Post by Alan »

Hi All,

PicoScope 6.6.18 has been released this adds serial decoding for LIN bus and fixes a problem where the display of data can be corrupted when collecting at certain timebase / memory combinations.

A minor known issue with this release is that the generation of animated GIFs does not work when you right click on a picoscope file from Windows explorer (but does work OK from within PicoScope).

If you find any other issues please list them here or let our tech support team know.

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,

That build only lasted a few hours with our group. Although some bugs have been squished another big one has been created. This build cannot zoom in on any large captures. All you get is a blocky mess. So, it's really not useful.

This bug has been identified and fixed. A new build will be uploaded to the website soon.

If I update my software will it still retain my waveform library?
Attended a course down at technical topics yesterday and had a few lock ups using the 6.6.16 software so will be interesting to see if this is a little more stable. If not might try some earlier versions.

OK, we now have 6.6.23 as a release candidate. This fixes the above bug when zooming large files, fixes some bugs with serial decoding and adds support for Korean language.

It can be downloaded from http://www.picoauto.com/software.html be sure to click where it says:

PicoScope Automotive and PicoDiagnostics (Release Candidate)

6.6.23 is currently what we call a release candidate rather than a full release as although only minor changes have been made from the prior release we have not had time to do as much testing as we would like. Hopefully 6.6.23 will be "promoted" to a full release in a few days.

I will start a new thread for this release and if you find any issues please post them in the 6.6.23 thread, not here.

PS Gruss - Upgrading PicoScope will not effect any files / data you have saved yourself.
