comparing saved waveforms

Post by davewilks »

Is there a way to display more than one saved scope view at the same time? Can I load a saved waveform and leave it on screen to compare to live data?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave

This is not possible at present. However, we are currently working on these features and they will be included in a future release of PicoScope 6.

Regards

Comparing

Hi Dave,

Yes you can, but not in the same window. The only way to do this, at present, is to open a second instance of PicoScope 6.

For example, open the first one. This one will communicate with your scope and be the live view. Then open a second instance. This one will not communicate with the hardware because it is already in use. Select a demo device instead. Now open up your saved capture in the second instance of Pico 6 and size your two Pico 6 windows to suit. 8)

save screenshots, then use photo/image editing software to combine in a layered format .. royal pain but doable

Guess it's time to update this one....

You can now have saved reference waveforms right in the same screen with live captured data.

You can also do multiple viewing of reference data and captured data within one instance of PicoScope, as shown here.
No Start Nissan Quest with intake VVT compared with known good reference. Diagnosis done.
