Alternator Ripple waveform

Post by georgeku »

Hi,

I have attached a screenshot of the alternator ripple waveform. This is a 2001 Camry Lx. I followed the instruction from the picoscope 6 automotive to connect to the battery and let the car ran idling. The waveform was looked very strange and I believed there was something wrong with the alternator. Just want to get some more opinion from experts. Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks.

I finally figure out was the scope itself problem. Pico exchanged me with a new one and I will test again.
