Measuring duty cycle

Post by scott neal »

Hi

Looking for some advise on using the measurement feature for measuring the duty cycle of a trace. Sometimes I can get it to work but other times I get a reading I don't expect or it tells me there's not enough data. Not sure if i'm positioning the rulers correctly or doing something else wrong. Thanks.

Scott,

Keep in mind that the measurement is Duty Cycle positive. We are often accustomed to reading DC- so have to invert.

Also you may find the measurement filter helpful. The measurement can calculate on noise in the waveform. The filter helps stabilize the readings.
