Hi
I have a 3223 scope and when i connect to my pc it 1st says connect to high speed port( as far as i was concerned it was.) then after i open pico 6 software the red light goes out on scope and pc states that it cannot detect device. I look in device manager and it is there.
I have tried it on another pc with same effect
Can anyone help please

Hi Paul,

The message about the high speed port can be ignored. You'll get that message even if you are connected to a high speed port using a series 1 3223. No worries, it will still run at high speed.

What version of Pico 6 are you using and what operating system do you have?

Have you tried to see if it will communicate with PicoScope 5?

Paul,

I'm assuming you had Pico 5 setup for the 3000 under File/Setup/Converter.

Might substitute another USB cable just to be sure there is nothing wrong there. It's unusual but, at this point, I would be suspecting a hardware issue.

Is the scope identified as a PicoScope 3000 PC Based Oscilloscope in device manager? Has it worked on one of these PCs before? If so, when did it stop working? Was there an event associated with the failure?

I'm sure one of the Pico staff will be able to help you further with instructions for getting that taken care of.

Hi Riz

It does sound like a hardware problem. If you email your contact details and the serial number of the unit to us at support@picotech.com, we can arrange for you to send it back to us.

The serial number should be on the sticker on the bottom of the unit (under the bar code). If the sticker has come off, then don't worry about it.

I Think I have sorted it. I have tried 3 usb leads i had hanging around all made no difference. A friend lent me the usb lead off his pico and it all works fine. I replace with original lead and the other leads i have and they all do not work.
My next problem is is where do i get the usb lead from and is it a special 1 or will computer shop have them.
Paul
Waiting to play with his new toy ha ha

Hi

They are standard USB leads that you can buy anywhere.
