We are pleased to announce that last week we released a new stable version of our PicoScope 7 Automotive software (7.0.93). The new release brings together all the new features that have been rolled out in our early access version since our last stable release (7.0.80). It is our recommended version for day-to-day diagnostic use in your workshop.

The updates include:

  • Dark mode – to reduce screen brightness, save energy and reduce eye strain.
  • Custom line thickness – to help you optimise the contrast between your waveforms and the graph background.
  • Copy as image – to make it easier for you to add your waveforms to other reports and documents.
  • Logic triggering and Rapid trigger to increase the number of conditions and speeds on and at which you can trigger.
  • MS Windows 11 support – to ensure that those of you that use Windows can continue to use the software when you upgrade from W10 to W11.
  • Continued 64-bit migration – to enable future improvements in performance and stability.
  • Waveform library – providing sign in and waveform upload improvements, as well as pre-emptive “friendly” update reminders for when the old waveform library is switched off.
  • Press/click and hold on controls – to make it easier and quicker for you to rapidly increment/decrement (+/-) values (where applicable).
  • Reduced CPU usage – to reduce your PC’s CPU energy consumption and improve performance.
  • Coexisting stable and early access (macOS) – to Mac users to install both stable and early access versions alongside each other (this feature was already available on Windows and Linux systems).
  • Full AWG functionality (4823 users only) – to allow users to control the output of their compatible device.

Please note:

  • PicoScope 7 Automotive software can be installed alongside PicoScope 7 Automotive Early Access; you can have both versions on one PC.
  • PicoScope 7 Automotive may be bundled with a different PicoDiagnostics version the early access version; you can have both PicoDiagnostics versions on one PC.
  • Update notifications are specific to each version: a PicoScope 7 Automotive Early access update notification is relevant to PicoScope 7 Automotive Early access. Likewise for the PicoScope 7 Automotive (Stable).
  • The PicoScope 7 Automotive and PicoScope 7 Automotive Early Access do not share settings, such as: Preferences, Favorite tools, Math channels, Reference waveforms, Start up settings, Recent psdata files, etc. This allows you to customize the two versions in different ways.
