New features in PicoScope 7.1.53 EA

Bit order option within Extended UART decoder

It is now possible to specify the bit ordering when applying either a UART or Extended UART decoder.

Click on More in the left-hand tool panel to reveal the “Serial decoding” button. Note: Clicking on the Star symbol to the left of the “Serial decoding” button will place the Serial decoding feature in the left-hand tool panel, where it will remain ready for use without having to select More

Clicking on the Serial decoding button will open the serial decoding dialog, where a decoder can be selected for either UART or Extended UART. Choosing either of these protocols will reveal the Configuration dialog, where either least significant bit (LSB) or most significant bit (MSB) ordering can be selected.

Whilst UART may not be directly applicable to automotive applications, please see Ben’s post here regarding the use of a UART decoder to interpret K-Line data viewtopic.php?t=22397

New Measurement graph indicators

New Measurement indicators have been added to provide easy location of Peak to Peak, Min and Max points within the graph view

Below, we have applied a “Minimum” Measurement to the signal captured on channel A. Note in the graph view how your attention is directed toward the Minimum point of the waveform via a measurement indicator

More measurement indicators are on the way; above, we have the first iteration of what will be a helpful analysis feature, thanks to Early Access software
