Case Study: Tesla Roadster with ABS problems

   

Upon driving the vehicle at normal road speeds the ABS and traction control (TC) warning lights illuminated. The symptoms were present at every drive, regardless of temperature and road conditions, and had been present for over a week. The warning lights lit upon ignition on and remained on until the ignition was turned off again.

Focus piece: Coil on Plug (COP) and Signal Probe

 

The COP probe is the fastest way to check coil-on-plug ignition coils and spark plugs. It works with most COP systems; it requires no special adaptors, no foil strips, and no batteries. It eliminates the need for back-probing: to use the probe simply press the probe against the coil.
