Good case study. Help the Yanks out when viewing the library. The acronym OSR is just confusing. Now we have to stop and think, what country is this car located in. Is that the offset rear to the right hand drive or the left hand drive. If OSR is the left rear then what is the acronym for the right rear side. Thank You enjoyed tring to figure out exactly which wheel the post was talking about.

Please forgive me if I am preaching to the converted but this may help others: Ask what work has been done on vehicle and if the fault showed up after this point. It cuts down on FAULT LOCATION TIME.
If a different fault is present after replacing parts! Always assume it’s in the new component or in the fitting of components. This makes it important to test, if possible, each part replaced instead of multiple replacement, then to find a new fault with more PARTS to back track on.
Hope this is of help too others.

I have seen this quite alot in main dealers. Usually due to damage occuring to the seal when replacing a wheel bearing or replacing a ABS sensor, that has gone horribly wrong and snapped off flush when trying to remove it.
What this does show though,is how invaluable a scope is in helping to diagnose a fault.
