Major waveform library update on the way…

{alt}

When is it coming and how do I access it?

We are excited to announce a major update of the PicoScope 7 Automotive Waveform Library towards the end of July. The update brings you all the features of the previous library that had not yet made it across to the new version. In addition, the underlying cloud storage has been totally redeveloped so you will need to update both your stable and early access versions of PicoScope 7 Automotive to their latest versions to gain access. If you are using PicoScope 6 Automotive you will no longer be able to access the library and need to upgrade to PicoScope 7 Automotive to continue to use it (you will see a banner in the PicoScope 6 Automotive library prompting you to do so).

What is the Waveform Library and what is changing?

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Waveform Library, it offers free cloud storage in which you can safely backup and share your waveforms and search for reference waveforms uploaded by other PicoScope users. It is especially useful if you want to access all your waveforms from different PCs or locations.

You open the Waveform Library application by clicking the Waveform Library icon in the PicoScope 7 tools menu (the Waveform Library icon will lose its beta banner in this update). To enter the library, you will need to have an automotive PicoScope connected to PicoScope 7 Automotive and login with your PicoScope Automotive Support Forum account login details. Don’t worry if you don’t have a forum account, you can access the forum to register by clicking on the Register button within the Waveform Library login screen.

Once you have accessed the library, you will see that there are two areas: a My Waveforms area, where you can manage your uploaded waveforms and a search area where you can search all the waveforms uploaded by other PicoScope users. To find a specific waveform within the search area, you can filter all the waveforms using different criteria, such as by vehicle make and model or component (i.e. using the channel labels).

Once you have upgraded to the latest versions of PicoScope 7 Automotive, you will benefit from all its latest features, including:

We will describe all of these new features and more in subsequent newsletters. Keep an eye out for future articles.
