New Guided Test: Negative fuel priming (with Sight block kit)

This month we want to share a new Guided Test by Pico's very own Ben Martins. The purpose of this test is to verify the integrity of the high pressure transfer pump or feed pump, internal leaks on the high pressure side, fuel filter blockage, pipes and hoses for leaks, injector leaks and any aeration within the fuel system.

Updated and improved Guided Test

In addition to creating new Guided Tests, we are also constantly working to update and improve the ones we already have. This month we have updated our Relative compression test – petrol.
This guided test also refers to a technical document with information about compression testing, along with a troubleshooter for the tests.

Help us improve our tests:
As we are constantly looking to improve our content, we would love to have your input and observations at hand. If you have comments or feedback on one of our tests, feel free to leave it in the comments section at the bottom of each test on our website.

Competition winners!

The first week in June, we attended Automechanika Birmingham. During the show, we ran a daily competition where entrants could win a Premium breakout leads set each day. We also had a show-length competition where the prize was a 4-channel starter kit.

And the winners are:

  • Day 1 Premium breakout leads set - Avia Autos
  • Day 2 Premium breakout leads set - Tony Mudd
  • Day 3 Premium breakout leads set - Mervyn Maxwell
  • Show prize:  4-Channel Starter kit - Kestas, Tyre Hangar

We also ran a fun caption competition on social media recently, asking for your suggestions to the caption for the photo on the right:

The winning entry comes from Rick Hargreaves on our Facebook page, with the suggestion of:
Trainer: "How is this engine running?"
Dog: "Ruff"

New Facebook social group

We recently launched our very own PicoScope Automotive Facebook group. Whether you’re interested in buying a PicoScope, already have one, are unsure how to use one, or even if you’re an expert with years of PicoScope experience, this group has been set up for you.

The group will work in tandem with Pico’s automotive support forum, which uses the same credentials as the hugely popular Waveform Library.
