Case study: Toyota GT86 with engine non-start
Steve Smith has created yet another brilliant case study: 

"I broke away from tradition here, as I would normally carry out a scan of the PCM while monitoring live data throughout. However, given the history of the vehicle and the odd cranking sound via the intake/exhaust, coupled with the fact that the battery had been disconnected, charged, boosted and discharged, my experience told me that a relative compression test with PicoDiagnostics was a valid first move."

Updated and improved Guided Tests

In addition to creating new Guided Tests, we are also constantly working to update and improve the ones we already have. This month we want to show you these two revised tests:

Welcome to Pico, Ben!

We are pleased to announce that Ben Martins joined the Pico Auto team as an Automotive Applications Specialist this month.

Ben   Ben has five year's experience as a Master Diagnostic Technician and has been operating as a diagnostic specialist within the Toyota network. He also has experience within the Peugeot network and, in addition to passenger cars, with diagnosis and repair of light goods, plant and agricultural vehicles as well as 3.5-tonne lorries. Ben will be joining Steve Smith in creating automotive technical content, providing support, training and looking at new applications.
