Maserati chooses PicoScope for dealer-level diagnostics

Maserati, the manufacturer of luxury sports cars, is justifiably proud of the high quality and reliability of its products. To help it maintain this reputation, the company has joined the ever-growing list of vehicle manufacturers that equip their dealers worldwide with PicoScope Oscilloscope Diagnostics Kits.

Pico supplied a customised version of its scope to match Maserati’s existing test instrumentation so that a minimum of retraining and retooling was necessary. We also supplied a customised version of the Pico Diagnostics software with battery testing, compression testing using the WPS500 and a new prop-shaft balancing function.

A spokesman for Maserati’s Training Department explained, “Pico adapted their product to our exact requirements, including some completely new tests, in an impressively short time. They worked with us continually to develop the hardware and training materials, which were well received by our engineers. The kit will improve the efficiency of our dealers and keep our training programme relevant to the latest vehicles.”

3.  Training Courses

We only have a couple of dates left in this year’s calendar and they are filling up fast. We are currently working on next year’s dates and venues, so if you have ever wondered why Pico do not hold a course close to you, now is your chance to put things right! Let us know where you are by email.

If you own, or are thinking of buying, a Pico Automotive Diagnostics Kit, you mustn’t miss our Engine Management Diagnostics course. This two-day course introduces the basic working principles of engine management systems, component testing and system diagnostics using oscilloscopes. The course is split between class-based theory sessions and practical demonstrations in a workshop using the Pico Automotive Diagnostics Kit, together with plenty of hands-on experience with our kit. The course runs several times a year around the UK, and we currently have the following dates available:
