Here is your latest Automotive Diagnostics update.
1. News: Winners of the First Skillmiles Recognition Awards are Announced By the IMI!
The Skillmiles scheme was launched just over a year ago by the IMI as a pioneering way to recognise the support given to aid skills development across the automotive sector.
It enables the IMI, as a Professional Body and the Sector Skills Council, to demonstrate to the industry, employers and Government that many companies and individuals in our sector are making valuable contributions to raising skill levels, much of which had not previously been recognised on a national level.
Pico Technology - Platinum Award
Staff at Pico Technology have given their time for free to assist at colleges and ATA centres and have also discounted their technical equipment provided to colleges and any member of the IMI. They have helped with the Continuing Professional Development of those working in the industry by contributing diagnostic articles to the trade press.
2. New Case Study:
A Battery Discharge Problem With a Happy Ending!
This month we have an interesting case study for you, written by a real PicoScope user who has kindly offered to share his diagnostic knowledge.
A Battery Discharge Problem With a Happy Ending! Recently I was faced with a customer who had completely given up on the idea of her car ever being fixed. The lady owner of a 2001 Audi A6 1.8 Turbo, explained to me how she has always had problems with the battery discharging.
