The Pico range of automotive accessories are ideal for use with Pico Automotive Diagnostics Kits and Automotive Oscilloscopes, and other labscopes.
- Clips - a wide range of clips
- Current clamps - for when you need to measure currents without breaking the circuit
- Ignition probes and accessories - items designed to help you test the ignition systems of vehicles
- Pressure sensors - sensors that enable your PicoScope to measure pressure
- Probes and sensors - a range of probes including our Coil-On-Plug probe
- Software and training aids - software, books and videos to help with automotive diagnostics
- Test leads - general purpose test leads, and breakout leads
If you are involved with more specialised R&D work you should also consider the TC-08 thermocouple data logger for measuring temperatures up to 1800 °C, and the ADC-11 data logger for multi-channel data logging.
Current Clamps
60 A AC/DC Current Clamp (PP218)
The PP218 is a 10 mA to 60 A current clamp, ideal for use with a Pico automotive oscilloscope for measuring the current drawn by smaller devices, such as fuel injectors and fuel pumps.
Note: the PP218 low amp probe is supplied with shrouded 4 mm (banana) plug type connectors so can not be plugged directly to a PicoScope oscilloscope. We recommend the use of the TA000 or TA020 automotive test lead to connect the current clamp to the oscilloscope. Alternatively, a PP264 60 A current clamp with BNC connector is available.
60 A AC/DC Current Clamp (PP264)
This low amp probe is an improved version of the PP218 60 amp current clamp and features superior noise rejection.
The PP264 is terminated in a BNC connector and so can be connected directly to the PicoScope oscilloscope.
600 A AC/DC Current Clamp (PP179)
The PP179 is a 600 amp current clamp, ideal for use with a PicoScope oscilloscope for displaying starter current waveforms, charging currents and for performing relative compression tests.
Note: the PP179 high amp probe is supplied with shrouded 4 mm (banana) plug type connectors so can not be plugged directly into the PicoScope. We recommend the use of the TA000 or TA020 automotive test lead to connect the current clamp to the oscilloscope. Alternatively, a PP266 600 A current clamp with BNC connector is available.
600 A AC/DC Current Clamp (PP266)
This high amp probe is an improved version of the PP179 600 A current clamp and features superior noise rejection.
The PP266 is terminated in a BNC connector and so can be connected directly to a Pico automotive oscilloscope.
2000 A AC/DC Current Clamp (PP253)
The PP253 current clamp is suitable for measuring currents of up to 2000 amps DC or 1500 amps AC.
Note: the PP253 current clamp is supplied with shrouded 4 mm (banana) plug type connectors so can not be plugged directly into a PicoScope oscilloscope. We recommend the use of the TA000 or TA020 automotive test lead to connect the current clamp to the oscilloscope. Alternatively the MI078 BNC to 4 mm plug adaptor can be used.
